CALLING ALL ARTISTS & CREATIVES
Bingo wheel picks artists for the first exhibition in our new Gallery!
After the success of bingo in 2023 we are bringing it back but this time the bingo wheel will be giving you the chance to exhibit in the brand-new APS Gallery later this year. Each artwork will be chosen completely at random. There is no selection panel, just pay for as many numbers as you would like, sit back, and let lady luck do the rest!
Here’s how it will work:
We charge a fee of £10 per entry, unlimited entries. You will receive your number(s) via email after the deadline has passed. Numbers will then be revealed on Instagram with a bingo wheel. Artworks will be chosen completely at random until the house is full, and the winners will receive an email to confirm their place in the exhibition.
UK Artists over the age of 18 working in any medium can purchase a bingo number.
Aire Place Studio (APS), a disabled and queer artist-led community interest company are losing their studio spaces and gallery! Their buildings on Kirkstall Road have been sold to developers leaving APS and its studio members with nowhere to go.
APS provides a crucial service of affordable and accessible creative spaces for all artists, freelancers, and small businesses, addressing barriers to access and promoting a sense of community in Leeds. They have made significant contributions to the city’s creative landscape, supporting over 1500 artists, and providing a home for small businesses for around 340 individuals since 2015. Now they are looking for your support!
The money raised through this exhibition will go towards helping APS to secure new premises, retain its staff, support its studio members, and plan for the future. Your contribution will help APS continue to provide a platform for emerging artists and creatives and nurture collaborative communities. With your help, they hope to raise enough funding to support APS’s future programme and sustain their vision to remain a key cultural agent for change.
